I'm always the Best Girl when Mom has treats in the oven!

Roxi is a finicky Plott Hound and I generally make her treats for her as she refuses lots of the ready-made ones from the store and not worth the expense if she is not going to eat them. I am always looking for things that have some nutritional value for her (not just doggie junk food) because of her eating habits.

These burger patties were a real hit with her! Even before I had everything mixed together she was in the kitchen "talking" at me (you all know how a hound can vocalize!) I couldn't believe it!

I skipped the sesame seeds this time because I didn't have any on hand, but will have them next time. Roxi mostly likes her foods crunchy, so after we stole a couple out of the oven for rewarding her for being such a happy girl and waiting while they smelled so good baking and cooling, we let the rest stay in the oven overnight.

Total success! This recipe is a real keeper! There were plenty to share with my daughters' Sheltie, and she loved them too.
