Is there such a thing as a grain free vegetarian dog treat recipe?

Hello, my Westie is allergic to all grains and we are both vegetarians. I would like to make him some treats, but I cannot seem to find any recipes for vegetarian dog treats that are also grain free. Any suggestions?

Chef's Answer ~ You can make most dog treat recipes grain free by substituting the flour with an alternative like a combination of Garbanzo bean flour, almond flour and tapioca flour. For each cup of wheat or grain flour that you are substituting, use the blend of 1/2 cup Garbanzo bean flour, 1/4 cup almond flour (also called almond meal) and 1/4 cup tapioca flour (also called tapioca starch).

But, you can also make these vegetarian dog treats:

Sweet Potato Dog Chew - This is slices of sweet potato dried in your oven. You can make them as chewy or crunchy as your dogs like.

Soft Vegan Dog Treats - These are sweet apple chips for your dog and you! :)

There's many more Vegetarian Dog Treats, that I can't name them all, but if you're looking for a specific type of vegetarian or vegan dog treat, please let me know and I'll be happy to find it or create it! :)
