Can you add food coloring?

I love this recipe. But most importantly my dogs love them even more.

I make mine a little thinner and adjust the cooking time. It's an easy recipe to follow.

I do very little baking so the only cookie cutters I have are a palm tree, a Christmas tree and a snow man. They're cute. I can't thank you enough.

Chef's Answer ~ Great! I'm glad to hear that you and your dogs are enjoying this recipe. :)

Yes, you could add food coloring to the batter if you wanted. I would add it to the dough after it is all mixed together, but before you roll it out. Add several drops of a gel food coloring and knead it into the dough.

I hope this helps! :)

My Bella loved these! As well as all the neighbor dogs. Our dog is a 6 month old Dhih a Tzu pup and lost a lot of teeth so I left them slightly chewy in the middle to make it a little easier for her to chew on. They are just hard enough to keep her busy and happy. I used a baking stone as you don't need the grease and they bake more evenly.
