Comments for Black spots on Dehydrated Sweet Potato Treats?

Black spots - try blanching first

My dehydrator instructions said to blanch the sweet potato slices before drying them, to keep them from turning black. I've noticed that if I do a good job of blanching, there are no black spots. If I rush, though, and don't blanch thoroughly, I get black spots and edges.
