What can I substitute for peanut butter when making dog treats?

What can I substitute for peanut butter when making dog treats?

Chef's Answer ~ You can use any of the nut butters, except for Macadamia butter, as Macadamias are on the list of foods poisonous to dogs.

So, you can use almond butter, cashew butter, or hazelnut butter. Or, you can skip the nuts all together and use soy or sunflower seed butter.

If you can't find any of these alternatives, you could also try cream cheese.

Happy Dog Treat Baking! :)
