No Bake Peanut Butter Treats

by Kathryn
(Lincoln Park, MI, USA)

I made a half batch of them, since I didn't know if my dog will like them -- and I'm down to 2 treats left! She absolutely loves them! I ended up using silk & skippy since she didn't like the taste of natural peanut butter. I noticed that I needed more silk than what the recipe called for because it dried out before I was done mixing in the oats. Other than that, complete success!!

Wonderful Dog Treat Idea!!

by Heather

My dog Duchess, a Siberian Husky, and my moms dog Leiah, a Toy Poodle, absolutely love these treats!

They enjoy every moment of them from licking the spoon once they're in the fridge and then enjoying them for days afterwards!

My next step is to bring a batch with me to work since I work at a pet resort and share them with a few of our canine friends!

Great homemade dog treat

I have made the peanut butter oat balls several times for my dog and her dog friends. I have yet to find a dog who didn't like them. Even some of the owners ate them, too.

Don't get me wrong, this recipe is great for dogs, but in my opinion, it's great to just drizzle these with chocolate and enjoy!

Peanut Butter and Oatmeal Balls Dog Treats

by Kathleen
(California)

It was my son's ("dog's") 3rd birthday. I always make something special for his birthday. This year I made the Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls and he just loved them!! My husband gives him one and eats one himself. I made a second batch and put a little honey in it for a little more sweetness.

Peanut butter oat balls

My dog Zelda loves them, she couldn't get enough.

The only bad part is now every time I go to the kitchen for something she thinks she'll get more. lol

This is a really good on the go recipe

My gorgeous German shepherd loved these!

I combined them with some healthy dry food and a extra treat - schmackos!

She gobbled them in no time, a really good on the go recipe that takes no time at all! A great healthy treat that keeps her happy and healthy! Thanks loads!

Peanut butter oat balls without peanut butter?

by Mitzi
(Jacobstown)

Wanted to make these but my dog can't have peanut butter. Can I use almond butter or sunflower butter instead?

Chef's Answer ~ Absolutely! These treats would be great with a substitution of equal amount of either almond or sunflower butters.

The only nuts you will want to stay away from are Macadamia nuts and Walnuts. Otherwise, feel free to make the substitutions.
