Easy Icing for dog treats

by Jennifer
(Georgia)

Are there any really simple icing recipes that can be used after the dog treats are cooked? We're trying to do a school project by decorating the treats after they're cooked.

Chef's Answer ~ Yes, there are many easy dog treat icing recipes. If you have access to a microwave at your school, you can slowly melt white chocolate chips (they do not contain the theobromine that regular chocolate contains and is dangerous to dogs), peanut butter chips, or carob chips to drizzle on top of the treats.

While the melted icing is still wet on the dog cookie, you can decorate with a small amount of edible glitter or sprinkles.

Happy Dog Treat Baking (and Decorating)! :)
