Could raw milk be used in the dog treat recipes?

Why use fat free milk?

Chef's Answer ~ I am not familiar with raw milk, so please keep that in mind. However, after doing a bit of research, I found that baking or cooking with raw milk is counterproductive. You are heating up the raw milk and destroying some of it's beneficial properties when it is in it's raw state. So, even though you could use raw milk as a substitute, I don't think it would transfer the benefits to your dog.

I recommend low or fat free milk be used in dog treat recipes because more than 50% of all dogs are overweight. Although fat is a needed addition to a dog's diet, it may not be necessary in it's occasional treats.

I hope this has helped! :)
