Are there state guidelines for starting a dog bakery in your home in North Carolina?

by Karen
(Clemmons, NC)

My dog is highly allergic to additives, such as oats, grains. I have to keep him on an all natural diet. I'm sure others are having the same problem. I would love to start a dog bakery using all natural ingredients. Can you tell me the best way to get started at this? Thanks for you help in this matter.

Chef's Answer ~ Some of the best businesses have been born out of a personal need. I think your decision to give your dog the very best, and help other dogs in need, is fantastic!

To answer your question, yes, there are most assuredly many state guidelines and regulations that you will need to follow for starting a dog bakery or any other business in your state.

I recently read an eBook that I think will help you. It's all about how to start a Dog Bakery Business. It will help you get started on discovering what you will need to know to start, market, and run a successful dog bakery.

I'll be publishing a review on it and another dog bakery book in about a week, so check back to my Dog Treat Blog regularly for more details.

Until then, Happy Dog Treat Baking! :)
