Are there any dog biscuits that do not require an oven or microwave?

I am a middle school teacher. My students would like to make treats that we can donate to the animal shelter. I could bring them home and freeze, or let them air dry, but we can't use an oven or microwave. I would like something that would last for awhile, nothing like cut up fruits or vegetables. Please let me know if you have any fun recipes to share. Thank You.

Chef's Answer ~ What a great project for your students! I hope that either the Peanut Butter Balls or Coconut Clusters recipes work out for you and those fortunate dogs waiting for their forever home in the shelter! If you have time in your busy teaching schedule, be sure to let us know how the kids and the dogs liked their treats.
