Peanut Butter Oat Cookies

I found your website a few months back, and tried a lot of the recipes, easy and gourmet. This one was by far the easiest to get right the first time, as well the most accomplished according to our many dog testers. It was so easy, in fact, that we came up with our own version that uses less oats (and a version for both instant and regular oats when we bought the wrong one on sale!) and has a drier consistency due to lower oven temp and longer cooking time so that the cookies last longer in the cookie jar.

Thanks so much for this awesome recipe! The hardest part is the rolling, and we usually make batches that are equivalent to four or five of your posted batches. I'll bet that a wide-thickness pasta maker could reduce the effort required for rolling out the cookie dough as well.

I have tried these cookies on over fifty dogs, and they have not once been turned down, though I have often almost lost a few fingers to drooling puppies! We also have been brushing egg whites on the tops of the cookies to give them a shine and that impresses the owners just as much as the taste seems to impress the pups.

Kudos!
