Not so great...

This recipe got a paws down from my dogs. It actually needs a lot more broth to get the dough to stick together. At first I thought I had a good consistency, but then the dough was too firm to roll out properly. So I added even more broth and finally had something I could roll out. The filling is watery and goes everywhere but staying inside the roll...
I was looking for a cinnamon roll recipe that I think was originally in the "Doggie Bone Book" by Bledsoe. It was a really great recipe - one I made at Christmas time for all the family dogs.
Chef's Comments ~ I'm sorry to hear the recipe did not work for you. I did not have any of the troubles you mentioned when I made the dog treat recipe. I'd be happy to help you troubleshoot what may have not worked, if you'd like to try it again.
For example, when making dog treats, it's best to sift the flour into the measuring cups, over flow the cup and then level off the amount with the back of a butter knife. This makes it so that you get a lighter dough.
I'm surprised that the filling was watery. There is only one egg that is combined with brown sugar and cinnamon. My filling was quite thick.
Thank you for sharing your experience. If there's anything I can do to help you with this recipe or another dog treat recipe, please let me know, I'm happy to help. :)
