I was using Brewer's yeast tablets (up to 900 mg a day) & it did not help @ all..An herbalist said ot plant rosemary & English and/or american pennyroyal where the dogs wouldn't be able to eat it. Pieces can also be tucked into their bedding, collars made..gonna try the combination & hope for the best..also read that garlic * onions can be toxic to dogs..so they don't get any of that either...

GARLIC IS TOXIC FOR DOGS AND DOES NOT REPEL FLEAS by: Elaine
Whether fresh, cooked or powdered Garlic and onions can be toxic to cats and dogs because sulfoxides and disulfides found in them can damage red blood cells and lead to anemia. Onions are more problematic than garlic, but both should be avoided. If preparing a meal for yourself that will contain garlic or onions, consider preparing a side portion without these ingredients for your animals.

Garlic is toxic to dogs by: Vet
It is a complete myth that garlic helps to prevent fleas. Garlic is also toxic to dogs and causes Heinz body anaemia over the long term. Not a good idea to feed on a regular basis.

I think the Flea Terminator part of the recipe is the brewer's yeast. I am going to try this recipe also.

flea terminator treats - do they work? by: alex
I wonder how do these work? - I take it it's the garlic powder. I'd like to give them a try - do you think they would be ok for cats too? (it's summer here - in New Zealand ) fleas have started biting!
