Baby food soft dog treats

recipe says 3 jars meat baby food
1/4 C powdered milk
1/4 C cream of wheat

Says roll into balls or roll out and cut but that combination is like cake batter. Have you tried it?

Chef's Answer ~ No, I have not tried this recipe. It does sound very thick. Have you tried baking this recipe, even though the batter is extremely thick? It may still turn out OK, or at least good to your dog.

Be careful with using baby food in your dog treat recipes. Sometimes they can contain onion powder. They are also typically high in sodium. By-the-way, are you using the meat sticks baby food? If yes, you may want to add the liquid in the jar into the recipe. It may help loosen up the dog treat batter.

Happy Dog Treat Baking! :)

Different Ingredients: Try Wheat Germ
by: Gunnar's mom

I have basically the same recipe but it's Wheat GERM, rather than Cream of Wheat. The texture is nice and thick and you can manipulate it well. If it's not thick enough just add more wheat germ, in small amounts until you get the texture you desire. They make nice, crunchy little cookies. :o)
